These images are in .jpg format. Each is 512 px X 512 px to fit in the Bryce 2D image frame. DOWNLOAD First click on the name and a new window will open so you can right click on the picture to save it to your hard drive. APPLYING TO OBJECTS Most of these work best by applying to a sphere and setting the orientation to OBJECT TOP in the Materials Editor. Try applying to other shapes for some interesting results. EXAMPLE : Fern texture images Apply the Fern texture image to a sphere. Set the orientation to OBJECT TOP. You mayl then need to rotate the object 90 degrees on its Y axes. You can also rotate the texture 90 degrees but I find it a lot easier to rotate the object and get predictable results. The fern should be oriented on top of your sphere with the stem end going towards a center edge of the sphere. Open the objects poperty attributes dialog box and choose SHOW HANDLE and click OK. Now move the objects handle to the edge where the stem is. Now you can duplicate or multireplicate the sphere and rotate the copies around the point you moved the objects handle to. Change the size and rotation of some of the objects to make them look more natural. When you like the way it looks group it and name it. |

A WORD OF CAUTION Remember when using these images in a scene and using multiple objects that the more objects and more complex tuexures the longer the render time will be. Scenes I've made with these can take a long time to render but the results are well worth it. |
